This yarn is a dream! It's so woolly and beautiful. I just love the different heathered shades available. The texture is soft and the yarn thickness is slightly variegated, which gives off a rustic look that matches its colors perfectly. Since it's super bulky, I'm able to work up items sooooo quickly, whether it's hats or amigurumi. I'm currently working on a hat for my husband, and he loves how cozy it feels. I'm also simultaneously doing an amigurumi project, but I've decided to fuzz up the fur with a dog brush, and the Udon yarn makes it very easy to fuzz (unlike the 100% acrylics and other fibers I've used). All in all, I'm really excited about this new line of yarn and can't wait to try it out in more projects!

Udon is an instant favorite for me! It’s so soft and luxuriously squishy. :-) It’s perfect for any big hook crochet projects (I’m working on a chunky scarf with it currently). I also love the colors it comes in and how deeply hued they are. Black Cherry is my favorite. The colors also blend together in some really lovely combinations. I’m definitely planning on more crochet projects using Udon!

This yarn is absolutely stunning! It is so soft and luxurious. I’m making a cozy chunky pillow right now and am planning to make some cozy ear warmers as well. It gives amazing stitch definition, which is always a plus for me! I also love the colors I chose - they were even prettier in person. I truly love the Udon yarn. It has a light feel for a bulky yarn. It’s super soft and glides really nicely through my hands and on my hooks/needles. With yardage at 104 you are able to make quite a few things with one ball! The stitch definition is fabulous too. I am working up a blanket with it and am very excited with how it’s turning out!

This is a great yarn for your warm, quick, bulky projects! It’s got a roving yarn feel, so keep that in mind when choosing your hook/needle size. The colours are a bit more muted than they are on the listing photos, but looking good nonetheless. I really like the red and black ones from the selection I have tried.
